Customers

The Customers section stores all of your client records. Every work order is linked to a customer, so keeping your customer list accurate saves time when creating new quotes.

The Customer List

Navigate to Customers in the top nav. The list shows all customers with a search bar at the top — type any part of a name to filter instantly.

Adding a New Customer

  1. Click New Customer.
  2. Fill in the customer’s details:
    • Name (required)
    • Email
    • Phone
    • Tax Rate — select the applicable tax rate for this customer
    • Billing Address — street, city, province, postal code, country
  3. Click Save.
You can also create a customer on the fly while creating a new quote — type a new name in the customer field and it will prompt you to create the record without leaving the quoting screen.

Editing a Customer

From the customer list, click a customer’s name to open their detail page, then click Edit to update any field. You can also add multiple billing addresses from the edit form — useful for customers with more than one location.

Viewing a Customer’s Work Orders

Open a customer’s detail page to see every work order linked to them, organised by stage. This gives you a quick history of all past and active jobs for that client.

QuickBooks Sync

If your organization uses QuickBooks, each customer shows a sync status badge:
BadgeMeaning
SyncedCustomer record matches QuickBooks
StaleRecord exists in both but data differs
Not SyncedCustomer exists in the app but not in QB
The app is the source of truth — syncing pushes your app data to QuickBooks. New customers in QuickBooks are pulled into the app automatically during a sync. To run a sync, go to Settings → QuickBooks → Sync Customers. (Admin or Super User role required.)

Suppliers

Supplier records (for your material vendors) are managed separately under Suppliers in the navigation. The same add/edit/delete workflow applies.
